Derrick Rose Rookie Basketball Card

Derrick Rose rookie cards are great investments.  He is having a great year for the Chicago Bulls and as of March 7, 2009, he is expected to be one of the strong contenders for the rookie of the year award in NBA basketball.  2008-09 basketball cards contain his rookie and autographed rookies are very sought after.

Listed below are many Derrick Rose rc cards for sale.  if you join our community free, you can buy and sell the cards free.  I also recommend joining Ebay as it is the best place, in my opinion, to buy and sell cards in the world.

Rose came in highly regarded as the #1 draft pick and some thought he might not be as ready for the NBA as Michael Beasley.  He has proven not only that he belongs, but also that he can become a superstar.

Also, sports card collectors will find valuable resources at this site.

Chris Mullin Fleer Rookie Basketball Card from 1986-87

Chris Mullin rookie cards are in 1986-87 Fleer Basketball.  In this article, we will focus on the 1986-87 Fleer basketball rookie cards of Chris Mullin, #77 in the card set.

The 1980's era of basketball cards is very exciting in my opinion.  The games used to be very high scoring and fast paced.  Many players like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and others would score many points per game and would entertain the fans with a great show.  Chris Mullin was a prolific scoring machine. Chris Mullin did not have a rookie card in Star Company basketball before his 1986-87 Fleer rookie card, making this card his first NBA basketball card. He was a prolific scorer and a great player for the Golden State Warriors.

On this page, you will find links to various cards and sets.  If you are not a member of Ebay, please join free today when you see the card you want to bid on.  These cards are offered at well below book value and if you are looking to buy a rookie of him, Ebay is a place where you can get the best deal on the market.  I use Ebay myself and have for years, I highly recommend it.  Simply join for free and you can be bidding in seconds.  There is also an Ebay search box listed at the bottom of this page.

1987-88 Fleer Basketball Cards

1987-88 Fleer Basketball Cards This article on the different kinds of baseball cards that people buy is brought to you by this great site. Also, above this paragraph on the banner, you can see many articles and those are from My Baseball Card Space, you can read all of those 350+ site articles free as well, to learn many more facts about sports cards and baseball cards and sports topics (this site will have its very own site feed as soon as more articles are added). Baseball card collections easily are improved by purchasing cards through the links here.

This article focuses on the 1987-88 Fleer basketball card set which was produced in limited number, and is highlighted by the Michael Jordan second year card.
These cards are valuable.  1987-88 Fleer Basketball boxes cost $500+ per box of 36 packs on ebay or at whichever place you can find them offered.  The key to the unopened boxes is that you can get 3+ Jordans per box and 3+ stickers of him as well.  A graded gem mint Jordan is worth quite a bit.

There are not that many rookie cards in this set as the year before had and as the year after has.  It does contain good second year cards including the Michael Jordan and all of the rookies from 1986-87.  A complete set will probably cost you about $200, maybe a bit less.  They are worth it and should be in any collector's collection if they can afford it.  Besides the fact that it is a second year card of Michael Jordan, the card and the cards in the set are extremely difficult to find.  They were not overproduced like baseball cards of the era.

Happy collecting and if you have a set or a box of these, you have a nice group of cards that are valuable.

1985 Donruss Baseball Cards

1985 donruss baseball cards listed on ebay that include Kirby Puckett rookie cards along with Roger Clemens rookies and unopened packs and boxes.  This is a difficult set to get in top condition because of the black borders surrounding the cards.  That makes unopened packs and boxes and cases highly sought after for this reason.  If you get a PSA or BGS gem mint card, it is worth a significant premium above and beyond that of the regular cards.  It has a great selection of former all stars and hall of famers including a Don Mattingly second year card, George Brett, Eric Davis rookie, former Dodger great Orel Hershiser rookie, Dwight Gooden's rookie card, Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken Jr., and many others.

The set is difficult to obtain in top condition because the of the black borders that chip and show white on them easily.  That will prevent the cards from being in gem mint condition if there is any white showing on the edges and corners.  This year's set is great because rookie cards of Roger Clemens and Kirby Puckett, as well as second year cards of Don Mattingly.  This creates value for the cards.  The unopened wax packs and boxes are fun to open up.  Wax boxes contain about 540 cards as there are 15 cards per pack and 36 packs per box.  This is an incredible box to open as long as it is unsearched.

You can find great deals on these 1985 Donruss cards on this page.

Bowman Vintage Baseball Cards

Listed on this page are Bowman vintage cards from old baseball card and football cards collections.  These cards contain the vintage baseball cards such as 1951 Bowman baseball Mickey Mantle rookie cards and the 1951 Bowman Willie Mays rookie.  These are incredible cards and in the case of baseball cards, Bowman is similar in stature to the Topps cards of the 1950's as well as with the T206 vintage and Leaf and Goudey baseball cards as well.  What Topps and, specifically, Bowman have in addition to that is that there are football cards from the era as well.  Bowman even has one more additional sports - basketball, and the 1948 Bowman basketball cards have George Mikan rookies.  Wow!

I will highlight some of my favorite vintage cards out of these three sports.  I have some older Beckett Plus Price guides here to help me find the cards that are my favorites as I do not have any of these in my collection yet.  Graded versions of these command premium prices.  The 1948 Bowman George Mikan rookie would have to be my favorite out of the non baseball cards.  I may even like that better than the baseball ones, that is one heck of a card and I can't imagine that they would print more of those than of the baseball cards of the era.  It may in fact be rarer than the other sports as basketball was only a 36 card set in 1948.  1950 Bowman football has an Otto Graham rookie, that is an OK card but I do not remember anything about his playing career.  The 1951 Bowman Tom Landry rookie is an awesome card, he is a legendary Dallas Cowboys head coach and probably is more popular for his days as a coach.  In baseball, nothing can top the Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays rookies in my opinion.

In conclusion, this is a big time group of cards.  It is not just one year of cards either, or one sport.  There are cards from this series, from Leaf and then Bowman and Topps came along in the 1950's.  These are some of the best vintage baseball, football, and basketball cards in existence and you can find some listed below currently for sale on Ebay that can give you a great Christmas present for the holidays.

1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle Rookie Card

My Baseball Card Space Community Forum
The 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle rookie card is one of the most famous and best cards ever printed.  It is worth less than his 1952 Topps high number card, but it is recognized as his rookie and is very valuable.  What makes the card even more valuable is if it is both in great condition and graded.  With reprints and counterfeit versions plentiful, when purchasing a card of this value it makes sense to make sure you are getting the real thing.  Having the card graded by PSA or BVG is the best thing to do with something this valuable.  The former New York Yankees superstar is a great player to have in your collection and even if you only can afford a few of his cards, this one is certainly one to think about.

Michael Jordan Rookie Basketball Cards for Sale

Michael Jordan rookie cards are among the most highly sought after cards and rookies in the history of basketball. On this page is a great list of all of the cards that would make your collection among the best in the world instantly. I will go over with you all some of the greatest basketball rookies of Jordan ever printed. Here are some basic MJ items that are not cards in their entirety, just basic jerseys and collectibles.
This page will have the most famous sets in basketball from the 1980's which include the Michael Jordan rookies.  Be careful when purchasing them because counterfeits have been known to be in existence and the star company basketball cards easily can be fakes.  You will want to buy from reputable sources and graded versions of them when possible, I cannot stress that enough.  All of the links on this page lead to relevant content so make sure to bookmark this page and web site as you go to the other pages.  I have organized all of the information and Ebay searches to your benefit.
This set is the most popular Fleer set ever printed during the current era in my opinion.  Boxes sell for $10,000 or more easily and have multiple copies of Michael Jordan cards in many instances. 1986-87 Fleer Basketball cards have the Michael Jordan rookie.
Here are Upper Deck Michael Jordan items.  What is great about these items is that although they are not rookies, Upper Deck produced some of the finest authenticated memorabilia and autographed items of him in existence.  When purchasing autographs of him, that is a great place to look.
1984-85 Star Company cards have the basketball xrc (first rookie card) of Michael Jordan.  They are not easy to find to say the least.  Here are random Star Company listings and I see currently that there are Jordans listed right now. When purchasing these cards, bagged sets are the way to go if you can find one.
Michael Jordan was the best to play the game in some people's opinion.  It is paramount for a card collection to have Michael Jordan cards and a Michael Jordan rookie card can do wonders for your collection and make it an incredible one.  Happy shopping.  Buy a Michael Jordan rookie basketball card here today.

Baseball Card Auctions - How to Find Good Sales

Baseball card auctions are plentiful and on this web site, My Baseball Card Space, the site is specifically designed to go into great detail about baseball cards and sports cards because that is what the site specializes in and I have many years of experience in collecting, buying, selling, and trading baseball and sports cards. Also, I have many years of experience in buying and selling baseball card auctions on Ebay which is where the site specializes in helping you buy and sell your items at the best possible prices. This article will be all about finding the best sports card auctions currently on Ebay. Please note that I am not an employee of Ebay nor is this site an Ebay site, I just have a great in-depth knowledge about the auction listings and can help you get a great deal. Clicking any Ebay link that you find on our pages will enable you to join Ebay free if you have not already joined.

Baseball cards on Ebay are always a highly sought after item there.  Sports cards in general are a great fit for EBay as well because of the fact that you can see what the going prices are in the auctions, make informed decisions when purchasing and also see cards from different sellers.  A baseball card auction on ebay, for example a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle  rookie card may be offered by 20 sellers.  That means you have 20 places to choose from when making your purchase, and you also have the ability to either buy the item right away or to bid on it in auction format and limiting the amount you are willing to spend on it.  That can help you avoid impulse buying and not purchasing the card for more than your budget is on it.
For people that sell items and also people looking to add to their collection, the completed auction listings once you are a member provide you with a valuable tool.  You can see the actual amount of money the item fetched and compare that with similar items.  For example, if you want to purchase a 1980 Topps baseball unopened wax box, you can see how much the last 5 boxes sold for.  That way, you know what other people had to pay for the item and you can then see exactly how much you should be willing to spend if you want to get the same product.  This helps sellers as well because they then can also see what they can expect to get for the item if they are to list it.

Unopened baseball card boxes contain random opportunities (when they are not searched) for you to obtain the best cards in that particular year of cards.  For modern cards, there are autographed and game worn jersey cards included in there.  Autographed jerseys are a great choice too to supplement card collections.  Baseball card collectors have an opportunity to obtain all of their favorite cards online, without even having to make a trip to a baseball card store in town.  This is different from the old days before the Internet where someone had to drive to a local card store and in many cases, there was not a lot of price competition.  Some of my favorite unopened boxes are 1980 Topps Football, 2001 baseball boxes, 2003 Topps Traded baseball cards, 1984 Topps baseball cards, 1982 Topps Football cards, and many others.  Entire baseball card collections are often bought and sold on Ebay as well.  There are still many shops for sports cards though in many towns as it is a fantastic and safe hobby for youngsters.
